THE HEART BEHIND THE MUSEUM
What began as a personal love for vintage Christmas décor blossomed into something far greater: a place where families can gather to remember the past, reflect on treasured moments, and rediscover the wonder of Christmas together.
From the moment you step inside our vintage Christmas museum, smiles come naturally — the warmth, nostalgia, and joy are simply irresistible. What began as a dream slowly took shape, and with the help of our talented Amish builder, every detail we envisioned was carefully crafted into reality.
In November 2025, we opened our doors to the public, becoming Kentucky’s only year-round Christmas Museum — a place where the spirit of Christmas is preserved and celebrated every day.
MEET DENNIS & SUSAN
Dennis and Susan’s lives are rooted in faith, family, hard work, and a deep love for people. Susan grew up in a small Illinois community where church, music, and loving relationships shaped her heart and values. She was raised by hardworking, creative parents — a father who coached little league and carved wooden Santas for friends, and a mother who served her community and passed down a love for cooking, hospitality, and generosity.
Over the years, Susan and Dennis built a blended family of five children, worked hard in their careers, and eventually moved to Kentucky in 1999, where they purchased a farm and built eight poultry houses — carrying forward the same spirit of perseverance and gratitude that has always defined their lives. Their faith remains at the center of who they are, especially in the way Susan has poured love and teaching into young children at church and in the way they joyfully give and help others whenever a need arises.
Their love for family runs deep. They lovingly cared for Susan’s parents through illness and loss, counting it a blessing to share that time together. Today, Susan continues to express her creativity through cooking and the arts, and she speaks with tender appreciation for Dennis — her friend, partner, and steady support. Together, they consider themselves “richly blessed,” grateful for a life marked by love, service, compassion, and quiet strength.
Scotland and Amos are our beloved Scottish Terriers, and they’ve been part of our Christmas story for more than eight years. Much like the vintage treasures in our museum, they carry a gentle charm and personality all their own. Guests often find them nearby — watching curiously from a cozy corner, greeting new friends, or simply soaking in the joy and wonder that fills the room.
These two pups have grown up surrounded by twinkling lights, holiday music, and countless Christmas memories. They remind us that Christmas isn’t just about decorations… it’s about companionship, love, and the warmth we share with those who walk through life — and through our museum — beside us.
Scotland and Amos are always happy to be part of your visit, and they hope you leave with a smile, a story, and maybe even a new Christmas memory of your own.
We research, source, and present artifacts that tell the story of winter holidays across eras and cultures.
Our goal is to spark wonder and connection in every visitor.
